This is the choice of the day:
Ooh yeah, baby. It's 5:02 a.m. and I have to be on campus in three hours. However, due to some very poor judgment, I've drank a Rockstar AND and Amp within the last 8 hours. Translation: I don't think sleep is happening tonight. Oops.
For those of you not running on inordinately large amounts of caffeine, here is a more mellow song for your late night:
I like this song. Umm, g'night.

I should have started my homework 3 hours ago
So. Something you should know about me: I can never, ever, ever, never return a movie on time. It's hopeless. Really it is. Anywho, moving on.
Recently I was asked what the hardest thing I'd ever done was and I had no answer. Now I think I do--life right now. Not that life itself is hard, but just trying to figure out where to go from here. Everything is up in the air and now I have to make a decision about what to do (versus when I came to college and didn't really have to choose anything, seeing as how MSU was the only school to which I applied). Right. First big life decision where I actually have to choose between options. Kind of intimidating. On that note: picture of the day:
Entirely new topic: school. 25 days until sweet, sweet freedom and hopefully warm weather with snow nowhere in the future. Wahoo! Also, I just got a Droid X. That phone is schweet! Even if I don't know how to use it ;)
Buenos noches amigos!

Procrastination: Lesson #1
Things I would apparently rather do than Spanish homework ('cause I've done all this and not started the Spanish):
I got an email about the Honors graduation and they have put together a nice little slide show with all the graduates in it. It's the normal kind, you know, a few pictures, our major, what we were involved in, future plans, etc. The Honors lady putting it all together sent a confirmation email back to make sure all the information was correct. The last line of mine read:
I'm not sure if that should be liberating (meaning I can now go do whatever I want because I'm done with college) OR frightening (because at the current moment I have no job using the degree I just spent 4 years of my life on). Right. I'm glad we've had this discussion. Anywho, guess I'd better go start on Spanish. BUT! not before I leave you with....this. This video is as 90s-tastic as the song is awesome. Maybe it's just his turtleneck that is. I don't know.
- Sleep
- Wash my blankets and sheets
- Take a shower
- Do other homework
- Play Angry Birds
- Cook dinner (Yes, I did actually cook. Weird)
- Clean the kitchen
- Play guitar
- Develop film
- Sit on my couch
- Pay bills
- Walk around campus
- Make more food
- Write this blog post
- Think about going to the Verizon store to get all my numbers transferred to my new phone (but it's kinda fun having random numbers text me and then play the game where I try to figure out who it is)
- Take pictures
- Watch a movie
- Go to class
- Not go to class
- Shovel off the porch

I think it's time for today to be over
I woke up this morning feeling like death. Seriously, between 11:30 and 5:30 I didn't leave my bed and the only reason I finally did was to take a shower so I could go to a group meeting. So I slept for six hours and now all I want to do is go to sleep again...but I can't. My body is all like "Whoa, whoa, whoa there princess!! You've hit your sleep quota!" Super lame. Also lame is that I just referred to myself in third person as 'princess'. Weird things happen when I'm sick. Even weirder things happen when I take medicine, so no medicine while writing posts.
Anywho, so yesterday I got a new lens for my camera. It is sweet. Yesterday I also decided that homework is lame (it seems like today everything is lame. hmmmm.), so I gallivanted around town all day and got a ton of stuff done. I think it was a much better use of time.
I'm going to stop writing now. I'm rambling and I could keep going for quite awhile. Instead I'm going to grace you all with this video: Somewhere in Between by Lifehouse.

Stuff that I like and inspires me
I'm going to end today (or technically start today/tomorrow) on a more positive note than it's been going. So to answer the question, what do I like/what inspires me--in alpahbetical order!!
Advertising in any form
Books (on marketing, Calvin & Hobbes, contemporary classics...I love reading)
Chocolate milk
Doodling in class
Excursions...around town, in the mountains, around my house
Folding laundry
Graffiti

Juice of all kinds
Keds=love
Late night conversations/getting to know people better
Magazine layouts, there are some cool ones out there
Night time walks
Otter pops
Playing dress-up
Quitting when necessary and knowing when this applies
Rainy days

Yellow sun dresses
Zip up hoodies
I would also like to thank two wonderful young men who tonight, without realizing it, made today immensely easier to get through :)

If you want to find me I'll be out in the sandbox
We're going to get a little technical. Today I had a statistics test and it covered the oh-so-glorious concept of probabilities (don't stop reading now. Or do. Whatevs. This will be quick). A question asked "A student is taking a multiple choice test and guesses the answer to three of the questions. What is the probability they get at least one right (each question has 4 answers)?" I answered it and moved on.
I walked out, having made it through most of the test without any problems. There were 3 particular questions, however, that caused me more than a little grief. They covered some material I did not recognize and to the best of my knowledge was only covered on a day when I was sitting in class in a Dayquil induced stupor unable to process a thing (which my notes very clearly reflected, rendering them useless for future use). Anyway, they were all quantitative questions and no answer I came up with could match any of the options. Super duper. I guessed with no real direction and left the test.
BAM! While walking I realized the first question I told y'all about, was actually about me. Haha. That's all that's new here.
That and the music recommendation of the week: "All Their Greatest Hits: 1991-2001" by the Barenaked Ladies. Love it!
P.S. In case you were wondering, there is a 57.81% chance I got at least one of the three right. I think.

My day in a nutshell**updated**
Let me tell you about my day, mkay? It started out ok--I had to get to campus early to work on a presentation that we gave as a group at 9:30. Did we get the memo that a report had to be turned in at the same time? No. Then after class, tagging along for the ride, I went with one of the homies so he could sign up for the blood drive. My new mantra of trying new things combined with a wee tiny little guilt trip led to me signing up to donate blood later in the day (never having done it before). Off to class, then back to donate blood.
{Ahem} I got through all the paperwork and they sat me down in the lovely blue chair. Then I started to shake uncontrollably. I looked back at the nice workers eating their lunches and they were looking right back at me with concerned looks. Then the phlebotomist came to mark my veins and I was still shaking. Then she poked me with the needle and I could feel it going into my vein then I went all rigid and I couldn't see anything and suddenly I was surrounded by four nurses and tears were streaming down my face and I was still all rigid and they were trying to recline my chair to relax me and I was having none of it and then they had to force to lay back and I was still all rigid and in quite the state of distress. They wiped my tears away, I kind of relaxed, the nice nurse lady talked to me the whole time and then I left and was late for Spanish class.
Whoa.
On an entirely different note, here's the quote of the day:

**Tonight I decided to watch Legends of the Fall. I made it 45 minutes in and stopped. Have you ever watched it?! It made me physically ill so I shut it off and decided to jam out to some Lifehouse instead--something a little less intense**

The 80s are invading my life*
Hi, my name is Kelty and I like to stay up late for no reason at all. Note, this is different from: Hi, my name is Kelty and I like to stay up late doing things that need to be done by morning time. FOR SOME REASON, if I'm doing something I'm *supposed* to be doing, I want to go to bed promptly by 11 pm. But, if I'm doing nothing of importance, I think it's necessary to stay up until 3 am. Like right now, for example. Woof.
Now that that's covered, the weekend! Big Sis and I went home, she and momo went to see Pioneer Woman and I babysat the little guy. Then my dad got home, he started watching B, and I got to go finish (hopefully) two photo assignments. This was followed by Some Kind of Wonderful and a horrible infomercial for Time Life Easy 80s 5-cd boxed set. Yep, an entire half an hour. Complete with commercial breaks. I watched the first 28 minutes then decided to forego the last 2. Sad day.
So this morning Big Sis woke up with a sinus infection. Good thing I still had sinus medicine in my wallet from when I had a sinus infection in Ireland! Gave her one of those puppies and she was out like a light! Ooops. Coincidentally, I drove home and she was groggy for the next 6 hours. Sorry, sis.
Since then, I've done some homework and decided to buy more ink for the printer.
This is it's own story. My printer is also a scanner and copier. None of the functions will work if one of the ink cartridges is out, which the black has been for a few weeks. I had to scan some pictures, so I had to bust out of the house and get a cartridge. I got to Staples at 7:11 pm and the automatic doors would not open. I must have looked super sad standing there looking at the door that wouldn't open, because a nice boy opened the door for me and said, "Wow. You looked really sad and miserable out there." He went on to say, "we're actually closed, but you can come in." How nice! He helped me find the ink I needed, walked me to the register, back to the door in case it wouldn't open and bid me a good night. Delightful! I have no idea who you are, but thank you uber nice Sigma Chi Staples Employee Boy! You made my day!
Moving on. Here is what I wanted to scan:
Aren't you glad I went through all that trouble? As a matter of interest, these are all Polaroids, even though only one of them has the border. Thank you mom. I heart my camera :) Oh, also as a matter of interest, I went to an 80s party last weekend and ran a 10K the next day. Just in case you were wondering.
*Let's go through the list, shall we? Easy 80s boxed set, 80s party, Some Kind of Wonderful, Polaroid camera, and photo assignment with an ancient film camera. They've invaded. And none of this was on purpose. Oh, and I just bought a pair of Topsiders :/

One of those mornings
You know the type, they don't come around very often. I woke up, the weather was overcast and dreary, rain was beating against my window, the roommates are both gone, and I had gone to bed in a sad sort of mood. It's a lonely feeling. It makes me feel kinda like this:
That didn't last very long though, don't you worry ;)
So there have been a few developments lately. #1. Spring break! Yeah, buddy! Hello to a clean house, all of my laundry done, and voluntarily going to bed at an indecent hour. Here I think I should mention something, this is the first time since January that any of these things have happened, and it's especially exciting because they are all done in the same day. Whooo!
#2. Birthday present from my mom came in the mail a few days after my birthday. Fujifilm Mini Instax Camera. The new love of my life.
#3. Ran a 10K (RAN, ok jogged, the WHOLE thing. NO walking.) in 1:07.
#4. Dyed my hair back to brown, I was getting over the blonde. Pics to come later.
#5. Borders is going out of business so I went and bought some books on marketing that I've been wanting, kinda nerdy but that's ok, I'm excited ;)
#6. Going back to the mothership this weekend. Sis #1 and mom have VIP tickets to the Pioneer Woman and I'm hangin' out with my papa.
#7. Aaaand I went to Billings to visit Big Sis #2 and the Fiance. Whoo!!! :D
That's about it for now. I already posted a video, so I won't post another one, but here's a quote for y'all:

A true soul mate is probably the most important person you'll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake. But to live with a soul mate forever? Nah. Too painful. Soul mates, they come into your life just to reveal another layer of yourself to you, and then leave. A soul mate's purpose is to shake you up, tear apart your ego a little bit, show you your obstacles and addictions, break your heart open so new light can get in, and make you so desperate and out of control that you have to transform your life.

March Fourth
Do you know why I have the coolest birthday ever? It's a command. Yep. So for the said birthday a few things happened: my mom was here for the weekend and took me out to eat and made me a delicious *funfetti* cake, a card was delivered at 12:30 am, a surprise party happened in my living room/kitchen (complete with Snuggie), more cupcakes, more cupcakes with filling, and an overall good time to be had by all involved. Yaaayyy for being 22. Woot.
Moving on. This week is midterms and next week is spring break...finally. My plans include a lot of sleeping and cleaning my room (in being swamped with homework for the entire semester so far, my room has gotten the brunt of the lack of time--not good). Other than that I've got nothing. So here is a song that I lovelovelove. True story.
Peace out.
