Another Top 10: Albums

Oh heck yes. I can't believe I haven't already done this!!! The Top 10 albums of my life, you know the kind you can listen to over and over and over again and they never get old? They may not be the best, the catchiest, or the most musical, and sometimes they are on, but you don't realize they're playing, and somehow they never seem to lose their charm. Curious. Here we go in no particular order!

*These were going to have pictures, but that was giving me more problems than it was worth*
  1. Films About Ghosts by Counting Crows
Some good road trippin' music...also good for the days when I don't want to leave my house because sometimes it's easier not to go outside.

  2. All Their Greatest Hits 1991-2001 by Barenaked Ladies
Umm..."Brian Wilson"? Easily one of the greatest songs of all time. Also, "Lovers in a Dangerous Time" is just wonderful beyond reason.

  3. Masterpiece Theatre by Marianas Trench
Good for getting rowdy :D "All to Myself" is some good stuff.

  4. Out of My Hands by Green River Ordinance
Music for the mellow days. I can honestly say I like every. single. song. on this album. That's quite rare.

  5. No Name Face by Lifehouse
This is a good album to fall asleep to....well, the mellow songs anyway.

  6. A Collection of Short Stories by Houston Calls
I listen to this when I'm getting dressed and doing my hair...when that even happens ;) Also, "Elephant and Castle" is liberating and I kind of love it.

  7. Dizzy Up the Girl by the Goo Goo Dolls
    Calms me down.

  8. A Hangover You Don't Deserve by Bowling for Soup
    Can you say dance parties?

  9. A Lesson in Romantics by Mayday Parade
This one is for when I clean my room. "Jersey" has some amazing lyrics, not gonna lie, as does "You Be the Anchor...".

  10. I Am the Movie by Motion City Soundtrack
Let's go hang out. That's when you listen to this. Especially when they are all like, "Singing songs from the balcony as the city crumbles, under the powers of an evil doctor rocket science monster with capabilities to destroy the entire universe". Psh. That roughly translates into, let's go rally. Also, "My Favorite Accident" will always just be super duper and much too realistic to not love.

Welp, I'm glad that's covered. Now I should probably go to bed. G'night everrrrrrbody.

Goodbye, Little Buddy

Today my mom called to tell me that my faithful pooch has moved on. Bye, Squirty. I'll miss you.

One more

Chalk this up as another song that someone could serenade me with and I wouldn't oppose:

Anywho, that's all. It's kinda my new fave.

In Honor

This is almost too late, as it will be the 12th in 11 minutes, but I just watched this and wanted to share it. Thank you to all the brave men and women who gave their lives.

This post is going to be entirely devoted to my favorite musical Mat(t)s. (I have to spell it like that because one of them only has one 't'). Not only do these guys rock my face, they make a sweet playlist for days when I want to go driving with the windows down. Anywho, in no particular order here we go!

Matt Nathanson

Matt White

Matt Wertz

Mat Kearney

Welp, there's your awesome music for the day! Glad I could help :)
