Today's happenings in a nutshell: work, football game, hung out at home, Christmas stroll, home, now homework shortly. For now however, I bring you sweater #4. Note that the turtle neck is sew onto the sweater, that is neat.
**Please don't judge me that I have a self-taken picture in a mirror. I had forgotten all day to get a picture.**

Christmas Partyus
Today the ugly sweater was in fact a sweater vest. It was a bright red number, sporting gold-colored buttons fashioned after ancient Roman coins. Classy. The boss was also feeling festive as you can see from her fab dress :D
And in case you're wondering the 'us' at the end of the title comes from Ugly Sweater. Righty-o.

Class Presentation Ugly Sweater
That's right. Today I had a group presentation in one of my classes, and in continuing the lovely Christmas spirit, I wore an ugly sweater and recruited one of the other members of the team to do the same. Booyah!! Ok, granted his took the cake for the day; I figured mine shouldn't be hideous, so I stuck with a wool hunting sweater that in reality was not that bad at all. His however, was amazing.

Ugly Sweater December Has Started **Updated**
Whooo!!! For every day of December until Christmas I will wear a different ugly sweater, ugly sweatshirt, or ugly sweater vest. Some of them worse than others. Here is cardigan #1.
Now that we've got that covered, I have a few items of business to address.

- Some hateful, unhappy little person broke into Big Sis #2's car. While it was parked in a church parking lot. Happy holidays to them, too.
- I know more about the ski industry than I ever cared to, so if you ever want to know about specialty ski sales, I'm your girl.
- I am looking at craft blogs for a class. I love my major :)
- Florence + the Machine rocks. Glee finally got something right this season.
- I just scored the suh-weeetest dining room set. For free. I love college towns for the inordinate amount of free, totally rockin' furniture available. I'll post pics once it's painted. Try not to be too jealous.
- I may or may not have done an entire load of laundry with the washer lid open. Ooops.
- Flannel sheets during the winter = pure heavenly bliss.

Homework is........the taste.
I had forgotten how much I luuurrrvvvvv this song.
Feelin' This by Blink 182.
True story. This is a nice little distraction if you, like myself, are currently consumed by the end of the semester homework that has snuck up. Although not entirely unexpectedly as I have known about it all semester. Woof.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
THANKSGIVING!!! Due to some untimely dreadful weather and a certain green Taurus, I was unable to make it home for this holiday. However, Big Sis #1 has in-laws that live here and they invited me to dinner. One turkey, seven pies, and a ton of other food later, I am absolutely stuffed to the gills with some delicious food. Whooo!!! Now, I'm sitting at home and about to write a list of a bunch of moments in my life I'm thankful for; the reason this list will be so specific is because we always mention objects, attributes, and people we are thankful for, but not the small events that change lives, so here we goooooo:
I hope y'all ate lots and lots of turkey...or ham...or tofurkey...or whatever you eat on this grand little holiday, and are ready to wake up bright and early for Black Friday. Heck yeah!! For now, I will recommend (since it is after Thanksgiving), two things:
- When I was at Girls' State and a super obnoxious girl was running for governor and I didn't want her to win. Because she was THAT annoying. So I decided to run.
- Walking out of the guidance counselor's office my junior year of high school and randomly seeing a poster and realizing that I qualified to apply for the MSU Presidential Scholarship Program.
- Someone telling me how much my friendship meant to them.
- All the times I get to babysit my adorable nephew.
- When I was doing homework and 4 hours into it, I realized it is what I am going to be doing the rest of my life and I could not be more excited :)
- Getting an email from my (then future) roommate in Ireland telling me I had a place to live. She was the sole reason for retention of my sanity for 5 months and I miss her :(
- At one point in my life writing 'I'm only using this as an excuse to hold your hand' on someone's hand and that leading to one of the biggest growth and learning experiences of my life thus far.

- Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas music. Astounding. Amazing. LOVE IT.
- Put up some sparkly lights, 'tis the season!!!

Winter
This post will be entirely devoted to winter. And not how much I love it.
Let me tell you a story: {ahem} I live in a trailer and I live in Montana. Trailers as a whole do not have the greatest insulation and in my (now) four winters here, I have learned how to deal with that and the pipe-freezing that goes along with it. Keep water running, keep cupboard doors open, make sure all windows are closed, etc. etc. etc. However, in all of my preparations for this frosty season, I made a mistake and I'm not sure where.
Here's how it all went down, the roomie came into my room earlier today and informed me that the hot water in her bathroom was not working. That's not good. Twenty minutes later I found myself outside, two space heaters and two extension cords in hand. Twenty minutes after that no improvement in the frozen pipe situation. What was I to do? How was I to proceed? Climb UNDER the trailer and defrost the pipes with a hairdryer. No dice. I was not going anywhere NEAR the underside of this beast. Twenty minutes after THAT a nice boy had come to the rescue and to get to the end of the story the pipes are unfrozen, he finds himself getting a free dinner somewhere in the near future, and I can take hot showers. I'd say all parties won in the end. Just kidding, we still live in Montana. It is winter. And it is freakin' cold.
The End.

Children's Books Rock
HOLA! The quote of the day come from "The Velveteen Rabbit".
"It doesn't happen all at once," said the Skin Horse. "You become. It takes a long time. That's why it doesn't happen often to people who break easily, or have sharp edges, or who have to be carefully kept. Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand."
Whoooooo! True dat.

...and Winter Has Arrived
Yes it has. It snowed the other day and I am perfectly ok with that. I mean, it waited until November, so that's not so bad, eh? Yep. Anywho, since my last post a few things have happened. Little B's Birfffffday party. ONE YEAR! So because I cannot recap that year better than Big Sis #1, here is the link to her synopsis.
Little B Turns ONE!
(Just so you know, I have no idea how she kept her sanity through it all, but she is one of the most AMAZING mothers I know. True story.)
So there's that. ALSO fish and chips rock my world. I actually did have an idea for this post, but it entirely escapes me now. So instead of writing a bunch of total nonsense, I will instead have a video for you to view. I made it probably a month or a month and a half ago, but never got around to putting it up so here it is now.
So hope you enjoyed that. Toodle--ooh.
